Instructions On How To Manage Your Website

How to edit the website - general video, for mega menu or class accordions see videos below

Video walkthrough: https://share.zight.com/Z4uN0qRn

Notes from the video:

  • I forgot to mention in the video how to add in the saved sections (when you heart a section). So once you’ve hearted a section you can go to another page > Add a section (you see that option between sections) and go to “saved sections” and you will see it there and can select it. This is also where you’ll find blank sections if you want to add a section that’s blank and add in the blocks yourself.

  • Make sure to remember the mobile layout

  • When editing the footer you’ll see a section above the Instagram section - please don’t delete it - this is the mega menu and you won’t see it in the footer outside of edit mode. To edit this section please refer to the video below.

How to edit the image, name and url slug in the header mega menu

Video walkthrough: https://share.zight.com/BluvlQBk

Notes from the video:

  • Go to the “Image On Hover” blog to edit

    • Title - click into the blog post and edit the blog post title

    • Image - click the ellipse and go to settings > featured image to change out the image

    • Url Slug - click the ellipse and go to settings > source url

  • You want to make sure the url slug and the title match the page url slug and title so whether on desktop or mobile the user is seeing the same title and going to the same page (the mega menus don’t show on mobile, the dropdowns show instead)

How to edit the Classes page accordion

Video Walkthrough: https://share.zight.com/Bluvl1Dd

Notes from the video:

  • To edit the accordion content don’t go to the Classes page but to the “Classes Accordion” blog.

    • Click on the blog post to edit and change out images, copy and links.

    • To create a new class duplicate an existing class and change out the info. The blog post title doesn’t show in the accordion, but you will want to rename it for yourself so you know which post is about which class.

    • To remove a class set it to draft or delete it.

    • To reorder the classes you have to change the date and time, the first item is the most recently posted item.

  • On the Classes page you will see a very small cream section that looks empty but there is a code block there and that’s what pulls the info into that section so please don’t delete the section.
